Sara Brown Selected as One of “2016 New Hampshire’s 20 Outstanding Women”

Sara BrownWZID and Hannaford Stores presented Sara Brown with an award for one of “2016 New Hampshire’s 20 Outstanding Women” on March 12, 2016.

There was a luncheon at Fratello’s Restaurant in Manchester on February 12th announcing the twenty winners chosen from 500 applications!

The following is what was written in the awards program and announced at the award presentation:

Sara Brown
“Never ever take if you cant’ give back”

As founder and President of Play Among The Stars Theatre Groupe, Inc., Sara works tirelessly to assist the developmentally challenged explore their creative outlets. She began the program for her son, who loves to sing, when he was looking for a way to express himself through music. The program is now 62 members strong and is self-funded through various events. Sara commutes from Maine to New Hampshire every week to continue her “passion” working with her clients. She has many roles; Writer, director, choreographer, fundraiser, and costume designer. Sara has changed the lives of many of the members to become more verbal and interact socially with their friends by offering this opportunity that may not be available anywhere else.

  2. Congrats to Sarah. So glad she is being recognized for her years of dedication to this organization. She has brought joy and purpose to many special needs children and adults. All you have to do is talk to one of them and see the light in their eyes to know she has made a positive impact on their lives.
